Youth Committee

Youth Committee at the CRC

A teen-led program of teens (6-12 grade) create, develop, and lead programs for their peers. These youth are also involved in managing a program budget and learning how to allocate funds for instructors and supplies.

The Youth Committee has the opportunity to lead community service projects building their capacity for self-reliance, self-sacrifice, social responsibility, teamwork, and mentorship, which give youth more control of their future and a sense of belonging and connection. The goal of the program is to provide a safe welcoming space for teens to have recreational opportunities as well as social and emotional support.
