Oak Park Conservatory

Beginning as a community effort to provide a place to house exotic plants, the Oak Park Conservatory now houses a botanical collection of more than 3,000 plants, some of which date back to the Conservatory’s founding in 1929. The Conservatory was named to the National Register of Historic Places in March 2005, and continues to regularly expand its features through new gardens and collections.

The Conservatory offers:

    • Fun programming for all ages, including toddler exploration times, garden lectures, and special events
    • Seasonal plant markets
    • Available space for special occasions, including weddings, receptions, birthdays, private parties, corporate gatherings, not-for-profit events and fundraisers, and memorial services
