Longfellow Park Renovation

The Park District of Oak Park was awarded a $600,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant, which will be used to renovate Longfellow Park.

The updated park will include:

    • Four dedicated pickleball courts
    • Expanded splash pad
    • Sensory garden
    • New playground and equipment

Renovations are estimated to be complete in Fall 2026.

Playground equipment was donated to Kids Around the World. Staff came to disassemble the playground, and will upcycle the equipment for playgrounds in under-resourced areas.
