ABOUT

SCCOPRF/AAAC

Senior Citizens’ Center Oak Park River Forest & Active Adult Advisory Committee

The SCCOPRF/AAAC provides guidance and recommends direction to the Park District of Oak Park regarding the implementation of recreational activities and procedures for senior citizen programs. This committee will provide valuable communication between the Park District and the citizens of Oak Park in regard to the needs of seniors living in the community. The SCCOPRF/AAAC will offer an independent perspective on issues affecting seniors in the community with each member representing only themselves and not any organization(s) to which they may belong.  Through this cooperative effort, the Park District will be better able to assess community needs and expectations necessary to carry out its mission, “In partnership with the community, we enrich lives by providing meaningful experiences through programs, parks and facilities.”

The SCCOPRF/AAAC will be made of eleven members with one serving as the chairperson.  Members will serve three-year terms from the date of appointment. A committee member may be re-appointed for up to two additional terms.

The Committee meets quarterly as deemed necessary by the chair.

Meeting location is the Dole Center, 255 Augusta Boulevard. For more information about the SCCOPRF/AAAC, email Maureen McCarthy.
