Orizomegami is the Japanese art of decorating papers by folding and dipping them into pools of natural dyes. By folding the paper in a variety of ways, patterns emerge which are reminiscent of stained windows, and depending on the number and placement of the folds, you can create more complex patterns.

In this magical Mermaid Ocean Collage class, participants will design underwater scenes filled with shimmering mermaids, colorful sea creatures, and vibrant ocean landscapes. Using mixed-media materials, such as patterned papers, textured fabrics, paint, and embellishments, students will learn layering, composition, and collage techniques to bring their ocean worlds to life.
