Forensics Month: Hair Analysis – Homeschool Science – 10/30/2026

October 30 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center Main Room

This class offers students the opportunity to get a taste for scientific experimentation through a new hands-on science lab each week. We'll be going through the steps of the scientific method, including making hypotheses and data collection, as we explore the world around us. Experiments are designed to supplement lessons aligned with 4th-8th grade science standards. Curriculum written by the educators at Science Buddies.

This week, we're exploring some spooky science! We're learning about the differences between human and animal hair and looking for suspects in a "crime".
