Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary and cultrual tour around the world through food.  In September, explore the depth of flavors of paella, learning seafood techniques and tapas.  In October, as the weather changes, feast on the delicious comforting flavors of Thailand.  November brings the discovery of one of the world's most historical places.  January brings us to Louisiana and the rich flavors embedded in cajun cuisine.  February, welcome to Greece and create the balanced flavors of mediterranean cuisine.  Finally March will bring you to Argentina and grilling indoors, creating an asada spread and wonderful dulche de leche.  Tara has planned recipes for each session, and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor with Tara in a Q&A.  Bring along your favorite wine to sip or Tara will send suggested menu pairings.  Ages 21+

In September, explore the beauty of French Cooking and let’s sous-vis Coq au vin!  In October, the weather is perfect for Kenya’s savory stews and curries.  In November as a native Texan, let the chef share the secrets of her favorite home cooked foods!  January brings the Philippines and so many layered flavors including making our own Halo-Halo.  February brings Venezuela and dishes such halachas, tequenos and quesillo. In March, let’s go down under and cook, emu, a slice of beetroot on a burger, crayfish and taro! Tara has planned recipes for each session, and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor in the Cheney dining room while you explore cultures. Teen Cooking Around the World!–Dessert-Feed Your French Sweet Tooth

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of the Global Peel as she explores culture through cooking. Macarons, they are worth every effort and this class uses a nut free recipe. We’ll also make galettes, tarte tatin, and a lemon crème brûlée. Learn history, eat dinner, and share our common story with your fellow students in the Cheney kitchen and dining room. Great food and life skills to carry forward. We are all family around food.  Ages 12-16
