Teen Cooking Around the World: Asia!

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of the Global Peel as she explores culture through cooking. Come experience a hands-on cooking class with recipes and techniques from around the world. This month we will cook from the continent of Asia. Your teen will learn homemade noodle making for Ramen, samosas, and baked goods from Western Asia. Learn history, eat dinner, and share our common story with your fellow students in the Cheney kitchen and dining room. Great food and life skills to carry forward. We are all family around food. Ages 12-16

Cooking Around the World –Ethiopia

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary and cultural tour around the world through food.  In May, let's learn the exquisite flavors of Ethiopia.  We will feast on the flavors of a variety of Wats–Ethiopian stews.  Lentil, Doro and Shiro, served with injera(mae in class) and accompanied with fresh spring salads.  We will make our own Berbere spice to take home.  Bring along your favorite beverage to sip or Tara will send suggested menu pairings the week of the class.  Ages 21+

Caregiver and Child Cooking at Cheney–Tips and Tricks in the Kitchen!

Come cook with us during a special class designated for adults and children.  Highlighted for April are Tips and Tricks in the kitchen. Learn time saving techniques with the ability to make dishes from ingredients commonly found in homes. Get Creative! Learn history, eat lunch, and share our common story with your fellow students in the Cheney kitchen and dining room. Great food and life skills to carry forward. We are all family around food.  Registration fee is for parent with child—no need to register 2 people. Ages 7+ with adult.

Cooking Around the World –China

Join Chef Tara Humphrey of Global Peel for a culinary and cultural tour around the world through food. In April let's learn to make the dumplings of China!  Learn the difference between bao, potstickers, steamed, boiled and fried.  We'll make slews of fillings and sauces for dippings.  Bring along your favorite beverage to sip or Tara will send suggested menu pairings the week of each session.  Ages 21+
