Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue is the best- selling Jazz Album of all time and 2024 marked it's 65th anniversary; it is a true timeless classic. This Friday evening happy hour concert will take place in the beautifully landscaped yard and garden outside historic Cheney Mansion. Tickets include two drinks, hand-passed hors d'oeuvres, and of course live music! The event will move indoors if needed due to rain. Ages 21+

Enjoy a summer evening hour long performance from the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest on the lighted patio of Cheney Mansion. The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest is the country's oldest community symphony and have performed all around the Chicagoland area. Bring along your comfy chair or blanket to spread out on the south lawn of Cheney Mansion. We will also have some chairs available as well. Your registration will include 2 glasses of wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage per person registered. Cheney Mansion will also provide light appetizers for you to enjoy before or during the performance. Entry will be through the front gate where your drink tickets will be handed out. Ages 21+

Some of these talented muralists will be on hand, showcasing miniature canvas versions of their large-scale works and sharing the stories behind their inspiration, vision, and artistic process. This is your chance to engage with the creators, ask questions, and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry that brightens our community.
Enjoy delicious light bites, sip on your favorite beer, wine, or soda, and mingle with fellow art enthusiasts in an atmosphere of creativity and conversation.
The evening will culminate in an exciting raffle where you can take home one of these exclusive canvas recreations—a unique piece of Oak Park’s art scene! $15 of your registration fee goes directly to supporting the Oak Park Area Arts Council, ensuring that public art continues to thrive in our community. Step out for hot nights of summer dance at Cheney Mansion. Join us in June, July and August for both instruction and open dancing on the patio at Cheney Mansion.
Each month will be themed music and instruction from our PDOP expert dance instructors. You will work up an appetite, so we will have tasty appetizers and your registration includes 2 drink tickets. Non- alcoholic beverages will also be available. Ages 21+
Start your Sunday relaxing at Cheney Mansion with an all-levels, one-hour yoga practice on the grounds with one of the Park District's expert instructors. As a reward, enjoy and socialize with your fellow classmates during a lovely brunch on the patio. In the event of rain, yoga and brunch will take place inside Cheney Mansion. Delicious, yet healthy savories and just enough sweet not to make your feel guilty. Two drink tickets are included in your registration. Ages 21+
