Pool Birthday Parties
Throw a birthday party everyone is sure to remember!
We will work closely with you on every detail to ensure your birthday party is filled with fun. Let us host your party in the activity rooms at Ridgeland Common with outdoor swimming at Ridgeland Pool (during Public Swim hours only)!
Party Reservation Information:
- Package includes party child and up to 15 guests, plus 4 chaparones over the age of 18, for 2 hours of swimming followed by 1 hour in the party room
- A stuffed animal for the birthday child
- A dedicated party leader
- Party room
- All swimming participants under the age of 18 will need to complete the PDOP swim test
- Swimmers who do not pass the test will not be allowed in water above their shoulders
- Swimmers who pass the test may swim anywhere in the facility
- Lifejackets are only allowed during parties if a dedicated adult stays within arms reach of the lifejacketed individual for the entirety of their swimming
- 1 adult per 10 children must be in the water with the party participants regardless of weather
- Help with food service and clean up
- Assistance moving supplies/gifts to your car
- Trash removal
- No refunds for additional guests over 25 will be given less than 7 days before the party.
Party Format:
- Parties will begin with a swim test for all participants under the age of 18
- Guests can opt not to take the swim test and receive a red wristband
- 1 chaperone for every 10 children are expected to be in the water with the guests
- Swimming will take place 4-6pm, and then enjoy the party room from 6-7pm.
- Participants have use of the party room where they can enjoy food, cake, and presents throughout the reservation, but swimming will end promptly at 6pm with the end of public swim
- Party leaders will help with serving food and help clean up the room afterward, including carrying the party supplies and presents to your car and trash removal.

Please note that cancellation requests received up to 21 days prior to party date are eligible to receive a 50% refund. Any cancellation requests made within 21 days of party date are not eligible for a refund. If the party is cancelled by the Park District due to weather or mechanical issues, an option to reschedule will be given if there are any available party slots, if the pool closes and there are not any dates available, a full refund will be processed. If inclement weather or mechanical issue occurs 1.5 hours or later into the party, no refund will be given.
Things To Note:
- All food must be either catered or otherwise pre-packaged, with the exception of birthday cake. Be mindful of potential allergies of your party goers.
- Decorations and supplies (including plates, cups, utensils, candles, lighter, etc) are the responsibility of the party host.
- Bring stick-tack if you wish to hang decorations on the walls- it is the only adhesive allowed in the party room (no tape).
- Swimming is only available during Public Skate hours. Attendees are limited to the party room once Public Swim has ended.Â
- Drop off and pick up for the party will be through the Arena entrance, NOT the Aquatic Entrance.
- All participants must have had a legal guardian sign a waiver in order to participate in the swimming portion.
