Basic Needs for Survival – Wonderful Ecology 9/14/2026

Using curriculum from Project Wild, Project WET, and Project Learning Tree, we're learning about ecological systems (food webs, the water cycle, etc.), adaptations in animals, and human interaction with the environment. Curriculum is written by the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies, the Project WET Foundation, and The American Forest Foundation.

Please dress for the weather – this program takes place outside as often as possible.

 

In this class, we're learning what is essential in a habitat for animals to survive.

Fall Plant and Tool Exchange

Presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory
Join other gardeners and share your favorite tools and plants! Save your garden plastic pots and drop them off at our Garden Pot Return so they can be reused and kept out of landfills. Please bring at least one plant to participate in the plant exchange. Ages 18+

Drop off, 1:00–2:00P / Pick up, 2:30–3:00P

Oak Park Family Camp Out – 9/12-9/13/2026

Get an introduction to camping at a site close to home! Start the evening with dinner by the campfire, listen to stories around the fire, and more! 

Fee is for 2 people with 1 tent. It includes dinner, s'mores and breakfast.
