Science for Pirates

Avast! It's Pirate Week! We're exploring the different parts of science that pirates used to sail the seven seas. Join us as we build our own compasses, make spyglasses, and learn about buoyancy with a boat competition!

All Ages Stick & Puck

All players must pre-register at least 1 hour prior to the session.

Gear Requirements 18 & Up: Helmet, elbow pads, gloves, shin pads, hockey skates

Gear Requirements 17 & Under: Full gear – helmet w/ full face shield, chest pad, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin pads, skates

Stick & Puck is for open hockey and skill practice only.

Scrimmages of any sort are strictly prohibited. 

Coaching and instruction of any sort is strictly prohibited during Skills & Drills sessions.

Arthropod Adventures – Under the Seas

Join us for an hour of animal fun! Each week we’ll learn about a different animal using games, art, animal artifacts (both real and replica), and more!

Learn about the wonderful world of arthropods! Today we're diving down to see the ones that live beneath the sea. Let's explore crabs, lobsters, and more!

 

This workshop is for children accompanied by an adult. Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the workshop – it is not a drop-off program.

Continuing Suminagashi Techniques

Suminagashi is the ancient meditative Japanese practice of gently floating pigments on the surface of the water with a brush and then capturing the mono-print image on absorbent paper. This exciting workshop will present historical background; and introduce the time-honored technique and several possibilities.
