Try-It Lapidary

Explore the art of stone cutting and polishing in this monthly hands-on introductory session!  You’ll learn the basics of shaping, grinding, and polishing stones to reveal their natural beauty.  Our skilled instructor will guide you through each step.  Using diamond grit grinding wheels to shape and polish a small stone.  Time permitting, we can even wire wrap or set the stone with a bail so it’s ready to wear.  Perfect for jewelry and rock lovers, and those interested in exploring the world of stonework.  Materials and safety gear are provided.

Step into the world of rich tradition and vibrant culture in this Día de los Muertos art class, where we honor life, death, and the spirits who walk among us. Learn to create beautiful art inspired by the iconic symbols of this Mexican celebration—sugar skulls, marigolds, altars, and more.
