Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie Hiking Trip – 5/16/26

We’re spending our springtime days with adventure on the brain! Join us for a trip to Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie for a day of hiking and picnicking.
Transportation provided. Meet at Fox Center. 

April and May is calving season, so there's a chance we'll see some baby bison at the prairie!
 

Hikers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Fire Painting & Brazing May 8-29

In this class, we will be flame painting on copper to create rainbow patina designs. We will then seal the finish with UV resin to keep it permanent. Also, we will learn how to make braised copper twisted wire bangles, rings, and more.

Adult-Child Archery Evening – 5/15/26

Hey, junior archers! Want to teach your adults a thing or two about shooting a bow and arrow? Our trained instructors will help you and your adult learn the ropes of this fun adventure sport. Registration is for one child and one adult. Please register your child archer only, not their adult.

 

Archery is for everyone!  Our instructor is trained in adaptive archery and the elements used to make this sport accessible. Please contact us if there are any accommodations you may need!

LEGO: Animal Robotics (Ages 6-12) – Spring 2026

Snapology’s Amazing Animals introduces students to the technical world of robotics. Students will work in teams tocreate a zoo of interactive and mechanical animals. Your child will build robotic animals and explore different mechanisms such as tilt and motion sensors, motors, and computer software to help them bring their creation to life, all while having fun learning important social and technical skills.

Orizomegami- Paper Marbling and Folding

Orizomegami is the Japanese art of decorating papers by folding and dipping them into pools of natural dyes. By folding the paper in a variety of ways, patterns emerge which are reminiscent of stained windows, and depending on the number and placement of the folds, you can create more complex patterns.
