New Fruit Just Dropped

Rambutans? Tamarinds? Kumquats? You're telling me those aren't made up words?

They're not! Travel the world in fruit form as we sample, tasting fruits from across cultures that may be new to you.

Unmasking the Mantid

Join us for an hour of animal fun! Each week we’ll learn about a different animal using games, art, animal artifacts (both real and replica), and more!

Whether you think they're cute or creepy, praying mantises are some very cool bugs! Learn about the life cycles of mantids as we search for them around the park and make your own colorful one to take home.

This workshop is for children accompanied by an adult. Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the workshop – it is not a drop-off program.

Have a piece of jewelry that needs some simple mending? In this workshop, participants are welcome to bring in broken jewelry, and we'll help them repair the piece or creatively repurpose it! This is for basic repairs, such as reattaching clasps, replacing jump rings, or fixing minor damage. Please note that more advanced work—like stone setting or replacing missing gemstones should be attempted in Lapidary classes.
