Join us for a relaxing, community-centered partnership between the Park District of Oak Park and local bookstore, The Book Loft. This free program invites residents to slow down, unplug, and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading outdoors, spending two peaceful hours in one of the Park District’s beautiful green spaces. Bring a blanket, a snack, and settle in under the trees for quiet time surrounded by nature.
Designed to tighten and tone the abs, glutes, back, obliques and “muscular slings” connecting the upper and lower body, improve functional strength and assist in injury prevention. This class will get you results where it counts the most.
All levels welcome. Options are body weight, fitness bands, weight plates or dumbbells.
All players must pre-register at least 1 hour prior to the session.
Gear Requirements 18 & Up: Helmet, elbow pads, gloves, shin pads, hockey skates
Gear Requirements 17 & Under: Full gear – helmet w/ full face shield, chest pad, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin pads, skates
Stick & Puck is for open hockey and skill practice only.
Scrimmages of any sort are strictly prohibited.
Coaching and instruction of any sort is strictly prohibited during Skills & Drills sessions.
Start your morning with light strength and cardio workout. Steps, dumbbells, and a mat are used to develop your muscle strength for your upper body, lower body and core. As you activate your major muscle groups and increase balance, you will feel strong and refreshed in this motivating group setting. See you at the class!
