Picnic Shelters and Patio Shelters
Reservations will be accepted first come first served starting each year at 9:00A on March 15 for our permitting period of April 15 – October 31.
The Park District of Oak Park has a number of picnic areas available for rental. Picnic patio, shelter and gazebo reservations allow permitted groups exclusive access to the designated cement pads, picnic tables and adjoining grills (where available). Users should note that other groups may be permitted for other areas of the park, such as athletic fields, and that the playgrounds, restrooms, and other features in the park must be shared with the public.
Any groups whose number of guests exceed the maximum for the picnic site or who infringe on other’s permitted use of the athletic fields or on the public’s use of other park amenities may be asked to leave and no refund will be issued.
We appreciate your cooperation with this so that everyone has the chance to enjoy our parks. Users are required to clean up after their use, be considerate of those who may be using the park after your group and do not stay longer than your permit allows.
Please note that grilling is only allowed at the Taylor Park Patio and only with the use of Park District supplied grills. No personal grills may be brought into Park District of Oak Park parks at any locations. No alcoholic beverages and no sound amplifiers are allowed in any Park District of Oak Park open spaces, parking lots, parks, or courts at any time.
Starting March 15 you can book your reservation online by clicking on the photos below.Â

If your group plans to use any open courts or athletic fields during your visit, please be mindful of the recent weather conditions and the impact that play on wet grass can have. We want to ensure that our fields remain as intact as possible throughout the entire season and appreciate your willingness to stay off of the fields during or after recent rain or other inclement weather.
Picnic and Park permits are non-refundable and non-transferable, with the exception of very severe weather that may affect the safety of users, wherein a transfer may be possible based on availability.
