It is the easiest way to ensure we accurately account for each program or facility user as our staff may change on a daily basis. Additionally, the Park District does not have the capability at each of our sites to manage this data.
After your child turns five they need to have a negative Antigen Test from a clinic / provider 48 hours before attending each class day until they are fully vaccinated. Please note: at-home tests are not accepted.
Any child turning 5 (or who has turned 5) has a six-week grace period from their date of birth to participate in a program without showing a vaccination card or negative Covid test. After this grace period, any child over age five must be fully vaccinated and show their vaccination card in order to participate in class.
(Example: John turned 5 on December 15; he has until January 26 until he needs to show his vaccination card. Susie turns 5 on January 17; she has until March 7 until she needs to show her vaccination card.)
Each individual would need to show their Vaccination Card AND a negative result from an Antigen Test from a clinic / provider 48 hours before attending each class day until they are fully vaccinated.
Religious exemptions are not included in the Oak Park Public Health Department ordinance.
