Sweetheart Hike

Take your little loved one on a nature walk for Valentine’s Day! Enjoy a guided walk through Maple Park, featuring stories about some of nature’s favorite couples and lovely families. Hot cocoa is provided to sip while you stroll.

Please register the child participant – price includes an accompanying adult.

Girls in STEM – Inventions for Hair with Annie Malone

This family-friendly program explores a different science-loving lady each session through story, art, and more!

Annie Malone was a different kind of chemist. She developed and invented hair products specifically for black women, which wasn't really available elsewhere at the time. Join us as we learn about her life, her incredible business, and how she made her millions helping people just like her!

Seed Paper Cards Workshop

What do you even do with all those cards once you receive them? Throw them away? Save them? Well now, you can plant them! 

Join us in creating cards out of plantable seed paper, perfect for adding a touch of native plants to this Valentine's season.

All materials provided, and everyone goes home with at least three cards.

pH Experiments – Homeschool Science 2/7

School is in session! Join us for a different hands-on experiment every week! We'll be going through the steps of the scientific method, including making hypotheses and data collection, as we explore the world around us. Experiments are designed to supplement lessons aligned with 4th-8th grade science standards.
