Coordinate Grids – Garden Math 10/19/2026

Math is all around us! Using the “Math in the Garden” curriculum, we’re exploring mathematical concepts through plants, soil, and more. Topics covered include estimation, area & perimeter, angles, symmetry, and more. This class takes place entirely outdoors, except in inclement weather. Curriculum developed by KidsGardening, The University of California Botanical Garden, and the Lawrence Hall of Science.

In this class, we're mapping the park and learning to plot points on a coordinate grid.

Biotic & Abiotic Factors – Wonderful Ecology 10/19/2026

Using curriculum from Project Wild, Project WET, and Project Learning Tree, we're learning about ecological systems (food webs, the water cycle, etc.), adaptations in animals, and human interaction with the environment. Curriculum is written by the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies, the Project WET Foundation, and The American Forest Foundation.

Please dress for the weather – this program takes place outside as often as possible.

In this class, we're learning how the different biotic and abiotic factors in the environment effect what lives there.
