Enjoy the beauty of the season with a Candlelight Walk. Children can have a magical experience seeing Santa in Mrs. Claus's holiday garden and have their photo taken with Santa amongst the beautiful poinsettias. Drop your wish list in his mailbox and receive a special treat from Santa! Shop our Winter Greens Market outside in our garden. Enjoy holiday music and refreshments will be served. Registration is required in advance for all attending.
Join Santa and his elves for this wonderful family tradition of music and a visit with Santa. Our period carolers will also be on hand to put you in the Holiday spirit and the Oak Park Society of Model Train Engineers will the Holiday train on display. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to Sarah's Inn. All participants must be regsitered. Infants under 1 year do not need to be registered. Due to spacing limitations, we cannot have strollers inside the Mansion. We have a limited number of high chairs. ALL AGES! Maximum number of guests for tea seating: 90
Explore the art of stone cutting and polishing in this monthly hands-on introductory session! You’ll learn the basics of shaping, grinding, and polishing stones to reveal their natural beauty. Our skilled instructor will guide you through each step. Using diamond grit grinding wheels to shape and polish a small stone. Time permitting, we can even wire wrap or set the stone with a bail so it’s ready to wear. Perfect for jewelry and rock lovers, and those interested in exploring the world of stonework. Materials and safety gear are provided.
Creative Cooking offers life skills and artwork all wrapped into one awesome class! A different theme and recipe (or two!) will be introduced in each workshop. While the food cooks, bakes, or simmers, our little chefs will enjoy additional art and/or games during those times. Each child will go home with their recipes to share with the entire family.
