Wildlife of the Forest Preserves

Join us for an engaging lecture on the wildlife of the forest preserves of Cook County, Illinois, led by staff from the Trailside Museum. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore an interactive display featuring furs, skulls, and mounts of common animals in the region. Learn the roles these animals play in their habitats, behaviors, and biodiversity's importance. Interested in learning about the world around you through movies? Join us for an educational afternoon of documentary films. Titles are listed on our Active Adult/seniors webpage (may be subject to change). After the film, stay for a friendly critique and discussion. Coffee/Tea provided.

Games with Friends- Scrabble

Fridays are for FUN. Sign up to join a lovely group of friends for an afternoon of competition. Scrabble- two to four players score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter, onto a game board divided into a 15×15 grid of squares. The tiles must form words that, in crossword fashion, read left to right in rows or downward in columns and are included in a standard dictionary or lexicon.

Dole Bridge Club

Join us for an afternoon of party bridge. Bridge has been the favorite card game to many notable Oak Park residents including Elizabeth Cheney (of Cheney Mansion). Join your fellow Bridge enthusiasts for an afternoon of card etiquette and serious gameplay in a relaxing environment. No partner needed.
