When developing classes, programs, and events, consideration of the the health and wellness of our community is at the forefront of planning and implementation. Our goal is to make it easy for our community, no matter their age or ability, to engage in a healthier lifestyle. ⇒ Have fun at our newly renovated playground at Rehm Park which gives children of all abilities a safe space to play and enjoy the sensory stations at Stevenson Park to give kids the type of play experience they need.
⇒ Explore nature in our Discovery Areas added to our playgrounds that allow children the chance to play with nature.
⇒ Take a fitness class that best suits you! Our fitness programs includes outdoor classes, family classes, and senior classes. We have adopted virtual programming for those who wish to exercise from the comfort of your own home.
⇒ Have fun embracing the latest sports trends too! Barrie Park is home to six dedicated Pickleball courts at Barrie Park and our existing tennis courts are lined for Pickleball as well to give everyone a chance to try their hand at this fun, new sport.
⇒ Relax, stretch, and breath in a myriad of indoor and outdoor yoga classes to embrace your mind, body, and spirit.
⇒ Take an alternative wellness class, like Tai Chi or Qu Gong to add a new element to your wellness repertoire.
⇒ Focus on year-round access to sports and fitness in our new Community Recreation Center with it’s indoor walking track and courts to play basketball, volleyball, and pickleball; and, eventually an indoor swimming pool when the temp drops too low to be outdoors.
