FAQs
Staff and the Community
The Park District updates our Capital Improvement Plan annually to maintain and improve our District’s parks and facilities, and to ensure funding is available to complete these projects. The Park District has kept these capital improvement expenses under budget in 2025-2026 and met the budgeted amount in 2024. 2023 and 2022 were over budget due to project enhancements and delays in the building of the CRC.

Electricity (kWs) and gas (terms) decreased by 7% and natural gas increased by 20%. Due to data-cleaning, water, trash, and fuel data are unavailable at this time.
The main reasons for the decrease in electricity could be additional solar panels added to Park District facilities. Natural gas may be higher due to construction at Dole and Carroll Center where a gas heater was used to keep workers warm.
