Arbor Day: A Multi-Day Celebration in Oak Park!

Join the Park District for Arbor Day! April 29th, from 11:00AM to 5:00PM, multiple activities will take place all across Oak Park for your enjoyment! Drop-in to any or ALL of the following locations and times to enjoy these FREE, family-friendly activities:
11:00A-12:00P – Taylor Park & Maple Park
At Maple Park, go on a scavenger hunt and make recycled crafts; At Taylor Park, match the different leaves to the trees they came from and read tree rings!
1:00P-1:30P – Wenonah Park & Andersen Park
Gather the little ones around to enjoy a Pre-K Story Time! The Oak Park Library Book Bike will be at Wenonah Park to do a Storytime.
1:00P-2:00P – Carroll Park
Have fun with water barrels, special plants, and more thanks to the Water Reclamation District!
2:00P-3:00P – Austin Gardens
Interview with TikTok tree influencer Justin Davies, @justinthetrees, and participate in a community poll: “What’s Your Favorite Tree?”
3:00P-3:45P – Austin Gardens
People can participate in a Tree Trivia Competition with Kahoot!, a Tree Scavenger Hunt, or a community poll to celebrate Arbor Day.
4:00P-5:00P – Scoville Park
This is the biggest of the bunch! Do a tree poll, enjoy our Pop-Up Bike, tree crafts, tree games, and scavenger hunts!
