We are celebrating all things prehistoric this week!

    • Look for Park District pool noodles at Ridgeland sporting sharp teeth and beady eyes!
    • Camps will have themed activities and crafts!
    • Special events and activities are planned for celebrating our Jurassic friends!

Enjoy a variety of fun programs and activities, including the following below! All Ages.

Dinosaur Train & Movies in the Park

FREE, Thursday, July 6 (NEW DATE)

  • Dinosaur Train: 2:00P-6:00P
  • Movies in the Park: Dusk

Scoville Park

Join us in Scoville Park to celebrate Dino Days with our trackless train! The train will be decked out with dinosaur decor and carry participants all around the Scoville Park walking path. Stay and play with our big blue blocks set up on the lawn or participate in some dino-themed activities before or after your ride.

Be sure to stay for the outdoor movie “Jurassic World Dominion” that will begins at dusk!

Visit Oak Park Conservatory!

June 27 - July 1

FREE: During Dinosaur Days, you can learn about the plants during the Jurassic period or hunt for dinosaur eggs during your visit . Stop by the Conservatory any day from 10:00A-4:00P . (All Ages)

  • Explore the Conservatory & learn about plants from the Jurassic period!
  • Explore fossils and learn about how you can hunt for fossils in Illinois
  • Take a pic with our t-Rex!
  • Sift for fossils
  • Decorate a safari hat (while supplies last)
  • Purchase ferns and mini-Dino terrarium kits!
